Visual Articles
At ROGEE Beverly Hills Magazine, we tell stories of the people, places, things, and businesses in and around Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Los Angeles, Pasadena, and other Southern California communities through ''Visual Articles.''
We understand that physically printed, on paper, magazines may still be useful under certain circumstances. However, a majority of the world, consumers of magazine content, have gone digital; and so have we -- currently producing ROGEE Beverly Hills Magazine as a digital, online, website-based publication.
What is a Visual Article?
A concept originated by Rogee Rogers in 2021, a magazine ''visual article'' is a piece produced and published in a digital, online-only, magazine that uses a combined variety of videography and photography to tell a story. The two main components of a digital magazine visual article are ''Angles'' and ''BTS of BTS'' with elements heavily based on Reality TV-style editing.
BTS of BTS = Behind the Scenes of Behind the Scenes. For example, in a visual article about a model in a fashion show, we would not only show the model on the runway, we would also show the photographer photographing the model on the runway. Hence, the viewer of the magazine gets a wide range view of the event.
As for Angles, we position the camera to capture videos and/or photos in ways that are not currently, at the writing of this piece, common in the magazine publishing industry. We have received countless unsolicited compliments about the camera angles in our shows (visual articles) from leading professionals in the entertainment industry.
How does it work?
ROGEE Beverly Hills Magazine visual articles (stories) told about people, places, things, and businesses from the communities we serve fall into 3 categories, as follows:
- EPISODES:Our full episodes are generally 30 minutes to 60 minutes long.
- SEGMENTS:Segments are generally between 2 minutes to 10 minutes long.
- SHORTS:Reels or Shorts are generally between 3 seconds to 90 seconds long.
I don't know if it's the African in me, but I love stories. I love telling and hearing/watching stories about people and places. As a resident, I've found the people in Beverly Hills to have some wonderful and enjoyable stories. I hope my team is doing a great job at bringing these beautiful stories to you. Cheers.
